My Semester
My Semester is a private, browser-local list of courses you choose to save from an engine, so you do not have to retype the same numbers every time you use a different tool on this site.
How it actually works
Today, three engines can save a course here: Current Weighted Course Grade, Points-Based Course Grade, and Can I Reach My Target Grade(which saves a projection, including any assumed scores for work that has not happened yet, rather than a confirmed grade). After calculating a result on any of those pages, a "Save to My Semester" button lets you name the course and store its credits and grade structure (its categories and scores, or its points totals) below, on this page.
A handful of other engines, the ones that ask for a "current grade" as one of their inputs, such as Final Grade Needed or Highest Possible Course Grade, show a small "Load from My Semester" box above that field once you have at least one saved course. Picking a course there computes its current grade from what you saved and fills the field in for you, instead of you retyping a number you already calculated elsewhere.
Three other numbers work differently, and go further: your cumulative GPA and completed credits, your degree's required/earned/in-progress credits, and your attendance (sessions attended and held) are each a single shared value, not a saved course. 30 engines across GPA planning, degree progress, and attendance carry a "My Semester" box that both loads and saves these, so typing one of these numbers into any one of those 30 engines and saving it makes that same number available on all the other 29, not just a one-way flow from a single "source" page. You can also set them directly below, on this page.
Everything lives in this browser's local storage only. Nothing is sent to a server, no account is required, and no one else can see it. That also means it does not follow you: switching browsers, switching devices, using a private/incognito window, or clearing this browser's site data will not carry your saved courses over, and there is no way to recover them if that happens. Use "Export as file" below if you want a backup you can re-import later or bring to a different browser.
My Semester does not calculate anything on its own; it only stores what an engine already calculated and lets you and other engines reuse it. It is not synced, not backed up automatically, and not visible to Semester Clarity or anyone else.
Your standing
Your current cumulative GPA and completed credits are the two numbers most GPA-planning engines on this site ask for first. Save them once here and a "Load from My Semester" box on those engine pages fills both fields in for you.
Your degree progress
Required, earned, and in-progress credits feed the two degree-progress engines that want the full breakdown; a derived "credits remaining" number is offered automatically to the 8 engines that only want that one figure.
Your attendance
Sessions attended and eligible sessions held together feed 6 attendance and policy engines.
No courses saved yet. Save one from Current Weighted Course Grade or Points-Based Course Grade to see it here.
