What GPA am I actually on track to graduate with?

Enter your current GPA and credits, your remaining credits, and a future GPA you can realistically sustain. This is a projection based on that assumption, not a guaranteed outcome or an absolute ceiling.

How we calculated this

Your current quality points are combined with quality points from your remaining credits at an assumed future GPA, then divided by your total credits at graduation. Using the example values above (30 credits at 3.2, 30 remaining credits at an assumed 3.7), the projected graduation GPA is 3.45. The projection only reflects the future GPA you enter; a more optimistic or conservative assumption changes the result directly.

Limitations

This is not a degree audit; it does not know whether your remaining credit count actually matches your program's real requirements, and it treats every remaining credit as earning the same single assumed GPA rather than varying course by course. Use Best Attainable GPA if you want the absolute best-case ceiling instead of a realistic projection.

Common mistakes

A common error is entering an aspirational future GPA (straight A's) rather than one based on your actual academic history in similar courses, which makes the projection look better than what is likely. Another is confusing this projection with a guarantee; it updates only when you recalculate it with new numbers.

Frequently asked

How is this different from Best Attainable GPA?
Best Attainable GPA uses the maximum possible GPA on your remaining credits to find an absolute ceiling. This tool uses a future GPA you actually expect to sustain, which is almost always lower and more realistic.
What future GPA should I assume?
Base it on your GPA in similar courses over the last few terms, not a best-case guess; the projection is only as realistic as this one input.
Does this account for a specific degree requirement?
No; enter the actual remaining credit count from your own degree audit. This tool has no knowledge of your program's real requirements.
What if I have no remaining credits?
The projection equals your current GPA exactly, since there is nothing left to change it.
Can I compare more than one future-GPA assumption?
Yes; recalculate with a different assumed future GPA to see how the projection shifts, or use How Far Can Your GPA Actually Go for the reasoning behind comparing a ceiling against a realistic projection.
